My work is a combination of various materials, textures and acrylic paints used to produce bold, innovative paintings and ceramics for both the home and business settings. As I walk through a Home Depot, the cements, grouts, plasters, roofing shingles and other items stir my imagination as I think of new ways to use them. I enjoy working with these elements and forging new combinations to create new energies.
I started my career as a textile designer before joining the Farmington Valley Arts Center in Avon, Ct. My studio is located at the Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria, Va. Where I have been a resident artist since 1981.
My work is in the collection of the Vanderbilt family, as well as such corporate collections as IBM, General Foods, the Hyatt Regency, Westinghouse Corp, Geico Insurance, and others.
It has been published in Cosmopolitan, Designer, Interior Design and Home Enterainment magazines. Twenty Seven of my paintings have been published as posters and are distributed worldwide.
